Misty was born on Assateague Island in 1946. She swam in the Annual Pony Swim that year across the Assateague Channel where the wild ponies still swim today. You can view the channel from Chincoteague’s Veteran’s Memorial Park.
Misty lived at Beebe Ranch for many of her adult years at 3062 Ridge Road. Call 757-894-1953 to schedule or join a tour.
Grandma & Grandpa Beebe and Paul are buried in Greenwood Cemetery at the intersection of Bunting and Willow Streets.
Much of the movie "Misty" was filmed at the Carnival Grounds in 1961 on South Main Street.
